About Dhamma Thali

Dhamma Thali Pagoda
Dhamma Thali (literally, 'the place of dhamma'), situated on the outskirts of Jaipur, is bounded by idyllic hills on all sides. Not too far from the city, and yet away from the maddening rush, makes it an ideal abode for serious meditation. Next to Dhamma Giri, Igatpuri (near Nasik, Maharashtra), it is the largest Centre and amongst the oldest, being set up way back in 1977. With two large and two mini Dhamma halls spread over 1.6 hectares, it has the capacity to accommodate 200 students comfortably with solitary accommodation and attached bathrooms. Dhamma Thali has a three-storied octagonal pagoda comprising 200 cells for serious solitary meditation. The Pagoda is a graceful blend of Burmese and Rajasthani architecture. The porches on the ground and the third storey give a unique shape to this inspiring structure.
